Kicking off in December 2014, HCCA is pleased to partner with the Western State Colorado University (WSCU) School of Environment and Sustainability to offer the Environmental Possibility Series. WSCU professors will join us in Crested Butte one Sunday per month throughout the year, to discuss what success looks like when it comes to environmental change. Topics will fall all over the sustainability map, but will revolve around one simple theme: “Impossible environmental challenges made possible.” We hope you will join us for this stellar series, which is completely FREE and open to all!
Please join us, the following Sundays at 5 pm:
-December 14th – Professor Abel Chavez, ‘Community-Wide Sustainability and Resilience Through Supply-Chains’
-January 18th – Professor Ryan Atwell, “SOCIAL INNOVATION: CHANGING THE WORLD IN THE FACE OF IMPOSSIBLE ODDS —A TRIBUTE TO MLK”
-February 15th – Professor Corrie Knapp, ‘Transforming Community-University Partnerships to Build Resilience to Dynamic Change’
-March 15th – Professor Kate Clark, “Energy Democracy from Appalachia to the Rockies”
Starting in March 2015, talks will take place at The Guild at 21 Elk Ave. in Crested Butte.
