The moment we have all been waiting for is here!  High Country Conservation Advocates (HCCA) is beyond excited to host the String Cheese Incident (SCI) Winter Carnival for the 40th Annual Red Lady Salvation Ball.  Mark your calendars for Friday, March 10, 2017 to dance the night away at the Eldo in Crested Butte.  We can’t wait for you to join us in your finest red to celebrate 40 years of a mine-free Red Lady!

As HCCA enters our 40th year of environmental advocacy in Gunnison County, we have much to celebrate.  Last year’s tidal wave of positive change in HCCA’s and the community’s 40 year-long effort to permanently protect Red Lady has led to a collaborative effort to obtain a long-term, sustainable, and protective solution for Red Lady.

HCCA could not be more honored to host the SCI to celebrate 40 years of a mine-free Red Lady and the positive changes that took place over the last year.  SCI has deep roots in the Crested Butte community, as they began their journey in Crested Butte playing at the local Center for the Arts and on the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort.  SCI also played at the 25th Annual Red Lady Ball in 2002, which has become a legendary concert for HCCA and the community.  There is no doubt that SCI is the perfect fit for celebrating 40 years of Saving Red Lady with an intimate performance at the Eldo.

From the band:  “We’ll be revisiting some our favorite regions in the Rocky Mountains, performing intimate shows at tiny venues in the same ski towns that helped shape the band 20+ years ago!”

This year’s Ball will commence at 7:00 p.m.  Be sure to wear your finest red and carnival attire and be ready to boogie into the night.  This historic Red Lady Ball will also include HCCA’s legendary raffle and the crowning of the 40th Red Lady!

***The Red Lady Ball is currently SOLD OUT. We will let everyone know if more tickets become available when the ball is closer. Thank you for your support!***
