About the event

Join HCCA at our 48th Annual Meeting. Held at the Majestic Theater, this year's meeting will feature a special screening of Thinking Like Water, Episode 2: "All about a Bird: A 1000 Acts of Restoration".


Thinking Like Water is a docuseries, directed by Renea Roberts, that follows the incredible achievements of restoration pioneer, Bill Zeedyk, and his collaborators (hint-HCCA!), as they transform degraded watershed into more resilient ecosystems.


Watersheds face imminent threats as climate change driven drought persists across the globe. Locally, in the Gunnison Country, HCCA has worked tirelessly throughout the past decades to protect the Gunnison Sage-Grouse, a federally threatened bird that relies on wet meadows—ecosystems that are slowing disappearing without restoration efforts. Episode 2 of Thinking Like Water,"All about a Bird: A 1000 Acts of Restoration", highlights this endangered bird and our collaborative efforts here in the Gunnison Country to not only save the bird, but restore and…
