HCCA's Timeline of Achievements

HCCA was formed in 1977 as High Country Citizens Alliance to oppose a molybdenum mine on Mt. Emmons, commonly known throughout the community as Red Lady. Since then, HCCA has been recognized as the environmental leader through numerous conservation achievements to protect the public lands, waters, and wildlife here in the Gunnison Country.
