HCCA is excited to kick off stewardship season with the City of Gunnison at Backcountry Hunters and Anglers’ 4th Annual Colorado Public Lands Day—Beers, Bands and Barbed Wire Strands. Join us in mapping and pulling invasive cheatgrass that threatens our public lands and wildlife on Signal Peak.

HCCA is excited to kick off stewardship season at BHA’s 4th Annual Colorado Public Lands Day celebration—a FREE community event with fun for the whole family! Enjoy live music, awesome giveaways, a wild game potluck, onsite camping, bonfires, and so much more.


The morning of Saturday, May 16 there will be fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities! Volunteers can choose to help remove obsolete barbed wire fencing to improve habitat connectivity, restore critical wet meadows or join HCCA and the City of Gunnison in mapping and pulling invasive cheatgrass that threatens our public lands and wildlife.
